Mercury is on track to deliver 89,000 new rural fiber passings by the end of 2027 and strengthening its reach to well over 1.2 million homes, businesses, and communities through a blend of fiber and fixed wireless technologies.

“This expansion marks a major milestone in closing the digital divide and ensuring rural families and businesses have access to the speed and reliability they need for work, learning, and everyday life,” said Chris Peeples, Chief Revenue Officer at Mercury Fiber. “We’re proud of the progress on our fiber build and this brand refresh reflects our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve.”

While fiber is the company’s fastest-growing technology, Mercury continues to invest in and enhance its fixed wireless access (FWA) network, which today reaches over a million homes across the Midwest. Fixed wireless remains a key part of Mercury’s strategy, enabling the company to deliver a trusted and viable solution to rural and underserved communities, advancing new technologies to bring even faster speeds to its FWA customers.

“With Mercury Fiber, our name reflects the speed, reliability, and innovation our customers expect,” said Brooke Chonko, Director of Marketing at Mercury Fiber. “What hasn’t changed is our promise to connect people where it matters most, bringing fast, reliable internet that strengthens communities and creates opportunity.”
