Mercury’s construction process is designed to move efficiently while minimizing disruption. In most neighborhoods, you can expect to see our crews working in phases over the course of a few weeks.
The exact timing can vary depending on weather, terrain, permitting and the size of the build area. Even after visible construction wraps up, additional work like testing and final connections may continue behind the scenes before service is ready.
Our crews use specialized equipment to install fiber with as little disruption as possible, including narrow trenching and underground boring beneath roads and driveways.
While most installations are completed with minimal impact, there are rare occasions where unmarked items, like sprinkler systems or private utility lines, may be affected. If this happens, Mercury will work quickly to restore your property to its original condition.

Flags, paint and other markings indicate the location of existing underground utilities such as water, gas, electric and communications lines. These markings are required for safety and help our crews avoid damaging existing infrastructure during construction. They are temporary and will fade or be removed after work is complete.
